Library Facilities

Home Lending

The Circulation Counter for home lending is kept open between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm. on all working days. Students, Teachers and Researchers can borrow books from this counter.

Reference Section

This section is equipped with noted reference sources The library staff help the readers in finding out their queries. Readers are also provided with relevant documents in print and electronic form.

Book Bank

In addition to the regular lending facility, the college library provides Book Bank facility to economically backward and socially backward students wherein students can get a set of text-books for entire year. Every year approximately 500 students avail this facility. Students may contact the librarian for membership of the Book Bank scheme.

Knowledge Resource Centre

The Knowledge Resource Centre in the library is equipped with 45 computers connected to internet from where students and teachers can access to NLIST database as well as other online resources. Students may contact the librarian for membership of the NLIST and other resources.

Current Awareness Service

The monthly list of new addition is displayed on the library notice board and uploaded on library web page. In addition to this library has developed and maintained more than 150 files of news paper clippings on different topics.

OPAC

The library is fully computerised and students can access the documents through the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). The library staff helps readers in browsing the computerized database through OPAC.

Inter- Library Loan Facility

College Library also avails inter library loan facility for its readers to cater to the extraordinary reading needs of them.

Library Orientation

Every year the library conducts Library Orientation program for new comers in order to make them aware of the library facilities available for them. Students are also provided with hands-on training to search information online.

Book Exhibition

The college library organises annual book exhibition once in a year to make students aware of the library resources. In addition to this theme wise exhibitions are organise on different occasions and the days of national importance.
